Terms of service

1. Who we are

Civic Drops is a brand operated by Civic Drops LLC ("Civic Drops," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of civicdrops.com and any purchase you make from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. You may use the site under 18 only with a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.

3. Our products

Every shirt is printed to order in the United States on an AS Colour 5080 Heavy Tee (8.2 oz, 100% combed cotton). Because each item is made after you order it:

  • Colors on your screen may differ slightly from the finished garment.
  • Print placement can vary by up to about half an inch from the product images.
  • Sizes follow the size guide on each product page. Please check it before you order.

Product images include mockups and close-ups. They show the design accurately but are not photographs of the exact shirt you will receive.

4. Political content

Our designs express opinions on public issues across the political spectrum. Unless a product page says otherwise, Civic Drops is not authorized by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any candidate, candidate's committee, political party, or government agency. Buying a product is not a political contribution. Our design rules are published on our Our Standard page.

5. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are in U.S. dollars.
  • We collect sales tax where required. Tax is calculated at checkout.
  • We may change prices at any time. The price at checkout is the price you pay.
  • If a product is listed at an incorrect price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after you receive a confirmation email.
  • Payment is due at checkout. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.

6. Promotions

Automatic offers, such as "Buy two, save 15%" and free U.S. shipping on orders of $75 or more, apply at checkout as stated on the site. We may end or change an offer at any time. Offers have no cash value, and we may limit or cancel orders that abuse a promotion. Discount codes cannot be applied after an order is placed.

7. Orders and cancellations

An order confirmation email means we received your order. It does not mean we accepted it. We may refuse or cancel any order, for example for suspected fraud, a pricing error, or a stock problem, and we will refund any amount charged.

Orders go to production quickly. To cancel or change an order, email us at support@civicdrops.com within 2 hours of ordering. After production starts, we cannot cancel or change the order, but our Return and Exchange Policy still applies.

8. Returns, exchanges, and defects

Returns, exchanges, and defect claims are covered by our Return and Exchange Policy (civicdrops.com/policies/refund-policy), which is part of these Terms. Personalized or custom items are final sale unless they arrive defective or wrong.

9. Shipping

Shipping times, rates, and delivery issues are covered by our Shipping Policy (civicdrops.com/policies/shipping-policy), which is part of these Terms. Title and risk of loss pass to you when we hand your order to the carrier.

10. Accounts, email, and voting

  • You are responsible for keeping your account login secure and your information accurate.
  • If you join our email list, vote in a Vote to Print poll, or check a marketing box at checkout, you agree to receive marketing email from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • Poll results guide which designs we print. They do not guarantee that any design will be produced.

11. Intellectual property

All designs, artwork, text, logos, and images on the site belong to Civic Drops LLC or its licensors. Buying a shirt gives you the right to wear and resell that physical shirt. It does not give you the right to copy, reproduce, or sell the design. You may not use our name or logo without written permission.

12. Ideas and submissions

If you send us design ideas, slogans, or other suggestions, you agree we may use them without payment or credit unless we sign a separate written agreement with you. Creator partners are covered by their own written agreements.

13. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
  • Interfere with the site's security or operation, or use bots or scrapers without permission.
  • Place orders with stolen payment information or false identity details.
  • Buy products for resale in bulk without our written approval.

14. Reviews and comments

If you post a review or comment, it must be your own honest experience. We may remove content that is abusive, false, or off topic. We do not edit reviews to change their meaning.

15. Third-party services

The site uses third-party services for payments, printing, shipping, and email. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from our site.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as stated in our Return and Exchange Policy, the site and products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some states do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Civic Drops LLC and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the order that gave rise to the claim. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

18. Indemnification

You agree to cover Civic Drops LLC for claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that result from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the site.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@civicdrops.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Any claim that is not resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, unless it qualifies for small claims court.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Changes apply to orders placed after the update.
